Vector Control Research  Centre (VCRC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the  post  of  Scientist D at Puducherry.

Essential Qualifications:

First class Master’s  degree  in StatisticsStatistics/ Biostatistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Health Statistics from a recognized university OR Second class Master’s degree in Statistics/ Bio statistics/ Mathematical  Statistics/ Health Statistics with Ph. D. degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics from a recognized University.
(ii) Eight  years relevant   R&D experience in  advanced Statistical  analysis/ mathematical  modeling in recognized health  research/ biomedical/  medical/ other relevant Institutes after obtaining essential qualification (i) above, out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.
Desirable : Ph.D Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/equivalent for candidates with first class
Master’s degree in the above subject.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years.
Pay : PayBand-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 + Rs.7600 (Grade Pay).
Application fees : Crossed  Indian  Postal  Order  (IPO) for  Rs.  100/- payable to the Director, VCRC, Pondicherry. SC/ST, Physically Handicapped (PH candidates) candidates and Women candidates are exempted  from this payment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Unani awarded by a University in India established or incorporated by or under central Act or State Act or Provincial Act or any institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any statutory Board of the State Government after having undergone a regular course of institutional study in the Unani both in theory and practical for a period not less than 4 1/2 years duration in a teaching institution recognized by the University or State Government with one year compulsory internship.
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
WRITTEN EXAMINATION (OBJECTIVE TYPE)
Written Examination will be held at HYDERABAD only. 
HOW TO APPLY:

• Candidate has to logon to the www.apspsc.gov.in and enter his/her Basic Personal Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community. 
• Immediately on entering the details the Applicants will get Challan form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India.
• The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. Online centers / State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid challan with Journal Number in the first instance. 
• On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit website and enter the Journal Number to get and fill the format of Application and should submit ON-LINE. 
• Affix your recent Colour Passport Size Photograph on a White Paper and then sign below the photograph with Black Pen. Scan the above Photo and Signature and Upload in the appropriate space provided (JPG Format) in Application Form. 
• The applicants have to invariably fill all the relevant columns in the Application and should submit ON-LINE.
