CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2013

Attention is invited to the detailed Notice of the above mentioned examination published by the Commission in consonance with the rules of examination approved and notified by the Government on 05.03.2013, in its website (www.upsc.gov.in).  The government has made certain changes in the scheme of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2013 with consequential amendments  in  the  rules  of  the  examination. In  consequence  to  that,  the Commission has also published a Corrigendum Notice on its website on 26th March, 2013 on  www.upsc.gov.in.

2.      It may also be noted that there is no change in the pattern of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, which will be held on 26.05.2013 as per the earlier schedule.  The Commission is accepting applications through online mode only in the Commission’s website www.upsconline.nic.in  till 4th April, 2013 [till 11.59 PM].

3.       A   corrigendum   to   the   earlier    notification    dated   05.03.2013,   has accordingly been issued by the Government on 25.03.2013, vide corrigendum notification number 13018/01/2013- AIS(I), dated 25th March, 2013.

Combined Defence Services Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 12 February 2012.

Name of the Course and Number of Vacancies:
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (134th Course commencing in January 2013): 250 vacancies
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (Course commencing in January 2013): 40 vacancies (2 for Hydro and 38 for Executive- General Service)
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) (Training Course commencing in January 2013): 32 vacancies
4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai (97th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in April 2013): 175 vacancies
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai (11th SSC Women (Non Technical) Course commencing in April 2011): 30 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy : Degree of a recognized university or equivalent
Indian Naval Academy :Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or BSc (with Physics or Mathematics) for NCC entry.
Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
Candidates who are studying in final year degree course can also apply for the examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the army headquarters.
Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 100 and no fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Female candidates.
