The School of Maritime Design & Research established at the Visakhapatnam Campus of IMU, invites applications from talented and motivated candidates to work in the areas of Naval Architecture, Ocean sciences, Marine engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering & Computer Science against the following project specific posts on Contract Basis.
Discipline: Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering
1. Scientist - F : 1 post
Qualifications : Good academic record with doctoral degree and 14 years of relevant experience or Post Graduate in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with at least (55%) and 17 years of relevant experience or First Class (60%) B.E. / B.Tech. in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering or equivalent  with 19 years of relevant experience.
2. Scientist - E : 1 post
Qualifications  : Good academic record with doctoral degree and 9 years of relevant experience or Post Graduate in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering  or equivalent with at least (55%) and 12 years of relevant experience or First Class (60%) B.E. / B.Tech. in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent  with 14 years of relevant experience
3. Scientist - D : 2 posts
Qualifications : Good academic record with doctoral degree and 4 years of relevant experience or Post Graduate in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering or equivalent with at least (55%) and 7 years of relevant experience or First Class (60%) B.E. / B.Tech. in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent  with 9 years of relevant experience.
4. Scientist - C : 3 posts
Qualifications : Good academic record with doctoral degree or Post Graduate in Naval Architecture &/ Ocean Engineering or equivalent with at least (55%) and 2 years of relevant experience or First  Class  (60%)  B.E.  /  B.Tech.  in  Naval  Architecture  & /  Ocean  Engineering  from  a recognized University or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience.
5. Scientist- B : 3 posts
Qualifications : First  Class  (60%)  B.E.  /  B.Tech.  in  Naval  Architecture &/Ocean  Engineering  from  a recognized University or equivalent with 1 year relevant experience.
6. Sr. Project technical Assistant : 6 posts
Qualifications : First  Class  (60%)  B.E.  /  B.Tech.  in  Naval  Architecture  &/  Ocean  Engineering  or equivalent or A recognized Diploma in shipbuilding technology (SBT) with first class (60%) marks and years of relevant experience or B.Sc Shipbuilding and Repair, from a recognized university with at least first class (60%) and 2 years of relevant experience
7. Project technical Assistant : 2 posts
Qualifications : A recognized Diploma in shipbuilding technology (SBT) with first class (60%) marks or
B.Sc Shipbuilding and Repair, from a recognized university with at least first class (60%)
8. Scientist - B : 1 post
Qualifications : First Class (60%) B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical/Marine Engineering 
from a recognized University or equivalent with 1 year relevant experience.
9. Sr. Project technical Assistant : 3 posts
Qualifications : First Class (60%) B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent or b. A recognized Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering with first class (60%) marks and 4 years of relevant experience 
10. Scientist- B : 1 post
Qualifications : First Class B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 1 year relevant experience

Qualifications : Master of Sciences in Physical Oceanography from a recognized 
university or equivalent with (55%) with one year relevant experience 
12. Sr. Project technical Assistant : 1 post
Qualifications : Master of Sciences in Physical Oceanography from a recognized university or equivalent with min. 55%.
13. Scientist- B : 2 posts
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/ Information Technology from a recognised university or equivalent with at least first class and 1 year
relevant experience, or b. Master of Sciences (MCA/MSc)from a recognised university or equivalent with at least (55%) in relevant area with 1 year of relevant experience.
